Module 6 Reflection

The use of a checklist will help the student stay on task with the activity. And using a stoyboard helps the student model what the student would like to do. As each step is completed, I then can assess from these two types of processes what the students needs are and if a assignment needs to be reviewed for more understanding. At this time I can modify a assignment for the student.

Reflecting on the Course

This has helped me to better understand the process in planning a project for the student. We can always take the asssignment from the book and put it front of a student with minimal effort.
With these tools I can help the student answer the important questions, become more accountable for his/her on work.

Module 5 Reflection

The student assessment will help the student and the teacher. We will have a picture of the students goals. Using the rubric as a assessment, most student will try to do just what is required of them to get a passing grade. Working with the student though his planning process will engage the student to achive high order thinking skills.

Module 4 Reflection

How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?

The use of technological devices can help students understand a subject. At this stage, my students need lots of tutoring. I know from prior years that students become more aware of their writing skills as their math skills start to move up in grade levels. It is easier to keep students involved in assignments by reaching out to them over the internet from their home computer. This is a goal I'm trying to establish in my class, but at this time the cognitive ability is at a stage that the student needs one-on-one guidance. Teaching students how to explore their thoughts and possibly answer questions while at home enables them to put more effort into assignments.

Module 3 Reflection

My family makes fun of me for how much I use the web, but WOW!! I knew that there was a large space of untapped information to use, but today opened my eyes to the new age. Keeping a watchful eye on the students and making them knowledgeable of the pitfalls is, and will be a challenge. But the knowledge gained from this preparation, for high school and beyond, and even life in general, will be immeasurable.

Module 2 Reflection

This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQs, or formative assessment in the following ways . . . to help students with being accountable with their on learning. Showing students how to assess their on skills to over come their learning disabilities will help the student to become more engaged the learning process.
